New for 2023

As you may have notice, I have migrated this site to a new host and given it a refresh for the new year. In the process, blog comments posted within the last 6 months are currently missing. My apologies to those of you whose input has been affected, but I’m working hard to restore those discussions. Stay tuned.

You will also note a new item on the product pages - the Daisy Rogue WAV. This new player platform is a bit different from my other embedded players. First, as a carrier board, it’s meant to be paired with the Electro-Smith Daisy Seed, a high-powered STM32H750 processor board aimed at audio applications. Secondly, I am experimenting with manufacturing and selling this product directly. I plan to open-source the hardware design, provide a generic firmware development platform template, create high-performance runtime firmware and offer assembled boards in basic and kit form. We’ll see how it goes.

I have the first production run of boards completed, and am working on documentation and the sales details. Unlike SparkFun, Robertsonics is just me, so I have to do everything myself, and there’s a lot to be done before the product goes live on this site. Hopefully not too much longer!

I’ve also updated the Configurator app as well as the WAV Trigger Flasher app with the latest version of Juce to be compatible with Apple silicon and the latest version of OS X. You can grab those, as well as all the latest firmware on the download page.
